Folsom, California

Folsom is a scenic, yet sophisticated city that beautifully displays its rich history while embracing forward movement and modern living. Folsom’s early history dates back to the California Gold Rush. Not only was this beautiful town the site of the West’s first railroad, it’s also known throughout the world thanks to the famous Johnny Cash song, Folsom Prison Blues.

Outdoor enthusiasts, nature lovers, and photographers alike love the natural beauty bursting in every nook and cranny of this city. It’s truly a photographer’s dream. You don’t need to look far to capture stunning photos of Folsom Lake, Lake Natoma, and the American River. With more than 43 miles of paved trails, it’s easy to find a perfect spot for a woodland, wildlife, or natural creek photo.

Through its carefully preserved architecture, not only does Folsom’s Historical District capture the essence of a bygone era, this revitalized downtown area is full of spectacular restaurants, cozy shops, and a lively night life.
